Laundering with Love Using Delicious Soap Flakes

Laundering with Love – Seems some of us share the same secret passion for gorgeous laundry soaps and crisp pressed sheets and line dried linen!

Most people I know are happy to throw their bed linen into the wash machine or take it to the laundromat, add whatever powder is on special, give the sheets a quick dry in the dryer then maybe (or may be NOT) fold them and either stash them in the linen cupboard or re-make the bed immediately with the same sheets. All perfectly fine and works well for most.

But a few of us take great and secret pleasure in laundering our linen. I am always on the lookout for delicious smelling laundry soaps. I like my bed linen to smell really nice. It is such a pleasure at the end of the day to slip into a freshly made bed. So, I was thrilled when I came across the Paillettes de Savon Pur, in Rose and Natural. I have washed the bed linen for my son in the Natural, as this has a soft clean fresh smell without being fragrant. And I wash the bedlinen for my daughter and ourselves in the Rose as I am a rose addict. The sheets are soft and clean smelling (even when dried in the dryer!).

It is really easy to scoop a cup of soap flakes, add a bit of water then sprinkle over the washing in the machine.

And after your sheets are dried and pressed (or folded) and put back in to the linen cupboard, there is a lovely soft fragrance which wafts out every time you open the cupboard door. And of course it is especially lovely when the bed is made and you slip between gorgeous clean smelling sheets.

Delicious Laundry Soap Flakes – one of life’s small pleasures.

SHOES & SHEETS

SHOES by DAY: SHEETS by NIGHT

A young man selling absolutely gorgeous shoes, said to me a while ago that the two things we should pamper ourselves with are Shoes and Sheets. Because we spend our days in shoes and our nights in between the sheets. I totally agreed with him and promptly purchased the absolutely beautiful shoes.

Then came home, opened the doors of the linen cupboard and took a really good look at my sheets.  Read more
